CSLB C-20 · 25 mile service radius

HVAC work is on public record before it is on the market.

Every system has a birthday in the permit record: targeting the 15-year replacement wave.

California State License Board.

The short answer

What fires an alert for hvac.

Deal Radar tracks 5 triggers for CSLB C-20. Each one names a public record, the point in that record's lifecycle where it becomes meaningful, how long after that point the work is actually bought, and who you would be contacting. The lead time is the part that matters: the same record is a different opportunity, on a different day, for a different trade.

Public recordWhen it firesWho you contact
Health department plan checksA food-facility plan review, filed before a commercial kitchen is built.the moment it is filedThe company on the filingThe licensee, applicant, or operator named on a public record.

The limits

What a permit does not tell you.

  • A record is a signal, not a sale. A filed permit means someone intends to do work. It does not tell you the package is unbought, that the budget survived, or that the schedule held. Deal Radar times alerts to when a trade is normally bought, which is a much better guess than the filing date, but it is still a guess about a live project.
  • Coverage is what we have ingested, not everything that exists. Every count on this site describes records Deal Radar has actually stored. Some agencies publish late, some publish badly, and some do not publish at all.
  • Nothing is sent automatically. Deal Radar drafts. A person on your team reviews and sends. That is a design decision, not a setting.
  • We do not contact consumers. Where the audience is a property owner, what Deal Radar resolves is a mailing address, so the artifact is an addressed letter, postcard or door hanger. No consumer calls, no consumer texts, on any plan. And today, no name either. Until the county assessor roll is loaded, a household-facing signal gives you the property and its address, not the owner of record. If you are buying this expecting phone numbers, it is the wrong tool and you should wait.
